Job Description
Working as independent principal investigator or team member (based on the candidate’s background). 20% teaching to undergraduate/graduate students and 80% designing, developing and conducting complex research projects.
Potato breeding (1)
The position will integrate transgenetic , molecular breeding and traditional crossing methods to create potato materials.
Potato developmental biology (3)
The position will work on potato tuberization, nutrition or maturation period.
Potato pathology (5)
The position will investigate the basic biology of potato pathological beings, including fungus, bacterium, viruses, nematodes and pests, as well as the interaction between potato and pathogens and potato resistance mechanism.
Potato proteomics and metabolomics (2)
The position will use the proteomics and metabolomics to investigate the important functional genes in potato.
Potato physiology (1)
The position will develop culturing techniques and provide technical support for precision agriculture.
Potato plant protection (2)
Integrated control of potato diseases and pests.
Quantification of Seed and commercial potato (1)
The position will develop new detection methods for potato pathogens, finger printing of varieties and materials, and make the standard for relevant techniques.
Basic Qualifications
Ph.D. degree, a strong background in relevant majors. Five years research experience with practical English speaking and writing.
Additional Qualifications
Candidates should have at least one first author manuscript or equivalent achievement. The start-up package and salary are mainly based on the previous research achievements. Motivated self-starter with an enthusiasm for research; strong analytical and conceptual skills; work well independently with attention to detail; and strong communication and organizational skills.
